VOLUNTEER SHEET
In order to make each meet run smoothly, we need help from every parent of both new swimmers and experienced ones. A list of all the positions we need filled for each meet is listed below. Please sign up for one volunteer post for each meet. If you do not return this sheet, we will be contacting you to sign up. Please donate your time to make these meets run smoothly. Volunteering gets you in on the action of seeing your child swim, and it makes it fun for the kids!

Description of Volunteer Positions
Meet Timer: If you can work a stopwatch and write a time on a swimmers card, you can do this! All new timers will be shown how to run a stopwatch and paired with an experienced timer. There are two timers per lane, with six lanes at the pool.
Card Runner: This person collects all the cards from each race from the timers and takes them to the scorekeepers table. We only need one person to do this at each meet.
Clerk of Course: These people are responsible for getting the swimmers seated for each race according to the Pysch Sheet provided to you by the Scorekeeper. It’s your responsibility to seat the kids in order to they can advance to the blocks when it’s time for their race. We need at least two volunteers for this, preferably one experienced.
Card Averager: You will be given the cards after each race and you must average the times in the event the timers didn’t average. You will also be posting results sheets printed out by Yvonne.
Meet Official: You must be a Certified Official to do this. We need at least one official stroke judge and one official turn judge.
We are in need of officials! If you have an interest in becoming a swimming official, there will be a course taught on Saturday November 1st in Hollidaysburg.
Wilson Fisher has all the details. Get in touch with him ASAP.
